Repair leaks and drips. A leaky toilet can waste as much as 200 gallons per day. lf possible, don’t
take showers and run dishwashers and washing machines at the same time, and avoid doing multiple loads of
laundry one after another. The more water a household conserves, the less water enters the septic system.
